Joshua 1:9 (KJV) reads:
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed, for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
This passage of scripture is God’s solemn confirmation and His promise to be with us. There is no need for us to be afraid. Whatever He has called us to do, He promises to be with us. We must remember, it the Lord who will go before us!
Don’t miss the depth of what God was saying to Joshua and what He is saying to us today. The word commanded means: to direct authoritatively.
- To direct as s senior officer to a strategic position
- To exercise direct authority.
- To dominate as if from an elevated place
My friends, God wants us to understand and know this key point of revelation:
There are some attacks and some schemes from the enemy that he uses to try to trip us up and hold us back, simply because of the authoritative position we hold in the realm of the Spirit.
Satan our adversary, understands both the position and the authority we hold as believers of Jesus Christ. The problem is, he is counting on our lack of knowledge of such fact. That’s why Jesus says in Hosea 4:6 – My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…
Without knowing who we are in and through Christ Jesus, and knowing our authoritative position in HIM, we can be perish if we are not careful. However, because God has commanded us: 1) made us an senior officer to a strategic position, 2) given us direct authority, and 3) given us the authority to dominate from an elevated place in Him, we have not reason to be afraid to do anything God has called us to do or be.
Have not God Commanded You? Indeed, He has! Now GO!
